Kathleen "Kay" Louise Roscoe

Gustavus, Ohio-Kathleen "Kay" Louise Roscoe, age 80, died on Monday, December 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, following a brief illness. She was born on June 30, 1936 in Girard, Ohio, a daughter of Helen Ruth (Wills) and Russell George Lauer. Moving to Kinsman in 1948, she was a graduate of Kinsman High School in 1954. Mrs. Roscoe worked for the former Kinsman Pharmacy and the former Ohio Lamp of Warren. On October 3, 1959 she married Stanley Michael Roscoe, Sr. She helped her husband on the family farm for several years before having children. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Kinsman, Ohio and attended St. Robert's Catholic Church in Cortland, Ohio. Kathleen loved shopping and enjoyed taking trips with her sisters and going on bus tours with her friends. She loved casinos and going on annual trips with her husband to Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She loved her numerous farm cats and above all spending time with her family and grandsons. Mrs. Roscoe was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Shirley M. Lauer and a brother, Charles E. Lauer. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Stanley Michael Roscoe, Sr. of Gustavus, Ohio; two daughters, Alison M. (Terrence) Evans of Cortland, Ohio and Diane M. (Robert) Mallow of Rootstown, Ohio; her son, Stanley Michael (Nerissa) Roscoe, Jr. of Gustavus, Ohio; two grandsons, Thad and Austin Evans of Cortland, Ohio; two sisters, Marcella A. "Sis" Moger of Newton Falls, Ohio and Grace M. "Bea" (Albert) Johnson of Gustavus, Ohio; four brothers, Robert A. Lauer of Champion, Ohio, Paul J. (Marlana) Lauer of Vernon, Ohio, Russell G. (Linda) Lauer, Jr. of Kinsman, Ohio and Howard F. "Skip" (Darlene) Lauer of Marana, Arizona and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Roberts Catholic Church, 4659 State Route 46, Cortland, Ohio, with Rev. Carl G. Kish officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
