Keith V. Breach, age 85, of Andover, Ohio, died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Andover Village Retirement Community. He was born February 26, 1924 in Niagara Falls, Canada, the son of Victor K. and Marjorie (VanAlstine) Breach. A long time Andover resident, Mr. Breach was formerly of Willoughby. He was employed as road superintendent for the city of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, for over twenty years. He also was employed as an auto mechanic; and was former fire chief in Gates Mills, Ohio. Mr. Breach was a veteran of the U.S. and Canadian Army having served in World War II as a tank driver. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover; the Percy D. Hyatt Post #226, American Legion in Andover, where he served as secretary/treasurer. He also was a member of the F.O.E. Pymatuning Aerie #4035, Andover. Mr. Breach was a handyman, enjoyed tinkering with wood projects; and he had a great sense of humor. Mr. Breach is survived by his wife, Bonnie M. (Lindeman) Breach, whom he married August 31, 1972, of Andover; eight children, Marie "Puddy" (Ed) Milkovich of Tennessee, Linda (Neil) Anderson of Mentor, OH, Diane "Sugar" (Galliano "Lee") Mercadante of Willoughby, OH, Doug (Donna) Breach of Madison,OH, Kathleen (Troy) Eckhardt of Virginia, Theresa Breach of Kirtland,OH, Patricia "P.J." (Dan) Nicholson of Painesville, OH, and Victoria (Martin) Cross of Kirtland, OH; four step children, Phillip (Jeannette) Peluso of Eastlake, OH, Dianne Peluso of Willoughby, OH, William Peluso of Willoughby, OH, and Ronald Peluso of Eastlake, OH; 19 Grandchildren; 7 Step Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren; 1 Step Great Grandchild; and his sister, Helen Breach of Euclid, OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Noreen (Luecht) Breach; his daughter, Barbara "Chirpy" Breach; his step son, Michael Peluso; and his step daughter, Donna Huffman. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 193 S. Main St., Andover, Ohio, with Rev. Vernon Palo officiating. Calling hours will be Friday, January 22nd from 7 to 9 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, and also on Saturday, January 23rd from 12 Noon until the time of services at the church.
