Keith A. Freeman

d. March 26, 2012

Keith A. Freeman, age 56, of Jefferson, Ohio, died March 26, 2012, at the Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA. He was born July 9, 1955, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of Osgood and Charlotte (Gray) Freeman. He was a 1973 graduate of Pymatuning Valley and attended Mount Union College where he graduated with honors. Keith took classes at Cleveland State while completing research projects for Case Western Reserve University. He completed his formal education at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Freeman took his medical practice to Michigan and California, before selecting Maine for the majority of his medical career. Throughout his life Keith showed a passion for the Arts, particularly Classical Music. He displayed this passion by getting involved with many local musical and theatre groups. His impressive vocal talents allowed him to perform throughout Europe with different choral groups. His caring and loving nature was in evidence by his adopting and nurturing many Cocker Spaniels from dog rescue facilities wherever he lived. His hobbies included both flower and vegetable gardening and was considered by many as being an excellent gourmet chef. Keith also enjoyed reading, traveling and being with his extended family, particularly his many nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and his many patients would all agree that Keith's greatest legacy will be his capacity to always put the concerns, well-being, and thoughts of others before himself. He will be truly missed by all the lives he touched by his giving and caring ways. Surviving Keith are his sister, Charlene Freeman of Richmond, OH, brother, Dexter Freeman of Maple Heights, OH, brother, Paul Freeman of Andover, OH, and sister, Dawn Freeman of Sacramento, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Schaefer of Andover. A private family memorial service will be scheduled for a later date at the convenience of the extended family.
