Kenneth P. Abbott

Kenneth P. Abbott, Jr., age 80, of Andover, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the Andover Village Retirement Community. He was born June 10, 1935, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, a son of Kenneth P. Abbott, Sr. and Ruth (Whippo) Abbott. Formerly of Meadville, Mr. Abbott has lived in Andover since 1989. He served in the Army National Guard from 1954 until 1957 and retired in 1995 from Arro Forge in Meadville, PA, after many years. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Andover; and he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and having campfires. Mr. Abbott is survived by his wife, Brenda K. (Arthur) Abbott, whom he married December 19, 1992, of Andover; his son, Keith Abbott of Meadville, PA; his daughter, Cindy Wenzelburger of Zelienople, PA; his daughter, Denise (Randy) Weaver of Apollo, PA; his son, Kenneth P. Abbott III of Studio City, CA; his step daughter, Melissa Schweitzer of Andover, OH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his two brothers, Thomas and Robert Abbott, both of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lois Abbott. A Celebration of Kenneth's Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 6210 St. Rt. 85, Andover, OH.
