Kenneth E. Martin 1921-2011 Vernon, Ohio - Kenneth E. Martin, age 90 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, 01 December 2011. Kenneth was born on 01 November 1921, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Albert and Magdalene (Hilbinger) Martin. The Martin family is of Cornish Heritage. On 29 May 1943, he married Nathalie E. Wolfe in Morgantown, West Virginia, who he affectionately referred to as "My Nathalie." A World War II Veteran, Mr. Martin served in the United States Army as an Anti Aircraft Machine Gunner having been in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. Mr. Martin was a long standing member and elder of the Kinsman Chapel of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Since his blindness in 2000, Mr. Martin faithfully listened to audio tapes of the Bible. For over thirty years, Mr. Martin was a millwright at the former Copperweld Steel Company while also operating his small family farm. His love and devotion for his family was heart-felt and sacrificial. He had a love for horses and enjoyed farming and gardening as well as sharing an annual harvest with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Henry and Lawrence Martin; a half sister, Doris Mae Heib; and a grandson, Jason Lauren Martin. Survivors include his wife of sixty-eight years, Nathalie E. Martin of Vernon, Ohio; three sons and two daughters: Gerald L. (Kathie) Martin of Kinsman, Ohio; Jacquelyn M. (LeRoy) Bradford of Vernon and Jill P. Harris of Ashtabula, Ohio; Jeffrey L. Martin of Vernon, Ohio and Rev. Jon A. (Debra) Martin of Rome, New York; three half sisters: Gladys Mayborn of Cleveland, Tennessee; Marjorie Bladorn of Roseburg, Oregon; and Lois McFarland of Ravenna, Ohio; two half brothers: Robert and William Everly both of LaPine, Oregon; six grandchildren: Kevin, Jennifer, Brian, Amanda, Jonathan and Zebadiah and five great-grandchildren, Gage, Kaetlin, Jason, Nicholas and Claire. A funeral service will be held on Monday, 5 December 2011 at 11:00 am at the Kinsman Chapel of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 6590 State Route 87, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. Jon A. Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, 4 December from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
