Kevin Scott Kirby

Andover, Ohio - Kevin Scott Kirby, age 48, died at his home on Thursday, July 21, 2011 surrounded by his family. Kevin was born on August 18, 1962 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, a son of Adrianne J. Lindsley-Westcott and Leonard C. "Buck" Kirby. He was a 1980 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School. Kevin was a believer in serving his country. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1980 until 1988. Kevin then joined the Army National Guard for a few years before joining the Air Force Reserves. While in the Air Force Reserves Kevin served overseas in Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and after many years of service he retired on January 1, 2011. On May 30, 1992 he married Deanna Marie Keesler. Kevin was the Director of Operations at AL&P of Andover for the past seven years and formerly worked for Parker Hannifin for over seventeen years. He was a member of the Andover Christian Church; Andover's American Legion and VFW. Kevin served as a trustee for Andover Township for eight years. He coached little league, midget football which loved doing for his children, he was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Kevin is preceded in death by a brother Andrew James Kirby; and his maternal & paternal grandparents. Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Deanna M. Kirby; a daughter, Savannah M. Kirby; three sons, Andrew S. Kirby, Clayton J. Kirby, Joshua T. Kirby all of Andover, Ohio; his mom, Adrianne (James) Westcott of Kingsville; his dad, "Buck" (Kim) Kirby of Andover; two brothers, Cecil L. (Janine) Kirby of Dorset and Steven C. Kirby of Andover; a half sister, Kayla C. Kirby of Andover; a step sister, Molli Simcox of Boardman; his uncle that resided with him, William E. Lindsley; a niece, Amanda J. Arthur and a nephew, Heath L. Kirby. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Services, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 24th from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home.
