L. Anthony "Tony" Rodgers

Kinsman,OH- L. Anthony "Tony" Rodgers, age 73, of Kinsman, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at his home. He was born May 23, 1935, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the son of Leo A. and Susan (Spiewak) Rodgers. Formerly of Dalton, Massachusetts, Mr. Rodgers moved to Kinsman in 1971. He retired in 1987 from Continental Baking Company in Madison, OH. His hobbies included woodworking, traveling, and collecting trains and coins. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife, Carol V. (Schneider) Rodgers, whom he married March 23, 1971; three sons, Michael A. Rodgers of South Carolina, Mark A. Rodgers of Orange Park, FL, and Steven A. Rodgers of Crestview, FL; two daughters, Michele A. Jackson of San Diego, CA, and Eileen J. Gregg of Crestview, FL; two step sons, Thomas Everidge of Neenah, WI, and William O. Everidge of Kinsman,OH; one step daughter, Virginia C. Marston of Enfield, CT; one sister, Theresa Rodgers of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren; and four step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one step grandson, Devon Everidge; and one sister, Elaine Rodgers. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Rev. Larry Myers officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 11th from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Friday, December 12th from 10 A.M. until the time of services.
