Larry M. Knapp

Larry M. Knapp, age 65, of Andover,OH, died Sunday, January 28, 2018, at his home. He was born January 20, 1953, in Ashtabula, OH, a son of William S. and Mary A. (McNerney) Knapp. Larry was a 1971 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School; and went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years. While in the service he spent almost 2 years overseas in Aviano, Italy. Larry was employed as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over 20 years, retiring in 2010. He served on the Andover Volunteer Fire Department for many years as an EMT and fireman. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and anything involving the outdoors. Larry is survived by his wife, Wendy M. (Fry) Knapp, whom he married January 26, 2000, of Andover; his son, Toby M. (Stephanie) Knapp of Darby, Montana; granddaughter, Effie J. Knapp; brother, Gary (Janice) Knapp of Bristol, Tennessee; sister, Kathy Burganski of Andover, OH; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, starting at 12:00 Noon at the Service's family pavilion, 5623 St. Rt. 7, Andover.
