Laszlo Farkas, age 79, of Williamsfield township, Ohio, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was born August 16, 1935, in Bagyogszovat, Hungary, a son of Antal and Iren (Molnar) Farkas. A long time Williamsfield resident, Mr. Farkas was formerly of Grand River, Ohio. He came to Grand River from Hungary in 1956. He was employed in various positions at Worthington Precision Metals in Mentor, Ohio, for 36 years, retiring in 2005. For many years he and his wife were actively involved in activities at the Williamsfield Community Center. He loved to spend time with his family, and to garden, fish, and hunt. He was also an avid bowler having played on leagues for several years. Mr. Farkas is survived by his wife, Lanette G. (Bullis) Farkas, whom he married November 14, 1981, of Williamsfield; his three sons, Jason L. (Sandy) Farkas of Meadville, PA, Anthony L. Farkas and Steven E. Farkas, both of Williamsfield, OH; his grandson, Aiden Farkas; one grandchild on the way; and his sister-in-law, Regina Farkas of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, October 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
