LAURA A. SALO, age 86, of Andover, Ohio, died Sunday, August 12, 2007, at Regency Hospital of Ravenna, part of Robinson Memorial Hospital, in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born January 1, 1921, in Austinburg, OH, to Floyd Raymond and Blanche Isola (Mook) Campbell. A long time Andover resident, Mrs. Salo was a 1938 Williamsfield High School graduate. She was co-owner and operator with her husband of Gene's Midway Lounge in Andover for over 35 years. Mrs. Salo married Eugene J. Salo on March 16, 1951, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1992. Also preceding her in death are three brothers, Clarence, Floyd, and Kenneth Campbell; and one sister, Marie Overly. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Harry) Cutlip of Kings Mountain, NC, daughter, Rita (Francis "Buck") Gordon of Andover, OH, son, Thomas E. (Patricia) Salo of Stow, OH; six grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Salo will be cremated and a private memorial service for the family will be held at their convenience.
