Leonard M. Schnell

LEONARD M. SCHNELL, age 77, formerly of Wayne township, OH, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Salem Community Hospital. He was born June 23, 1929, in Geneva, OH, the son of Henry and Emma (Metzdorf) Schnell. A long time Wayne township resident, Mr. Schnell had lived in Lisbon for the past two years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1951 to 1953. Before the service, Mr. Schnell owned a gas station. He was later employed by the State Department of Transportation; and he also was a farmer. Mr. Schnell was a very charitable person. He is survived by a sister, Clara (George) Stone of Harpersfield,OH; three nieces, Thelma McDaniel, Shelly, and Robin; and one nephew, Larry. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Schnell; and one sister, Eleanor Fink. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Dodgeville Cemetery, New Lyme township, OH.
