Richmond, Ohio – Lester L. “Doc” Hussing, age 84, died at his home on Thursday, December 5, 2013, with his family by his side. He was born on April 12, 1929 in Morgantown, West Virginia, a son of Ethel Marie (Close) and Charles Adam Hussing. Doc served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He worked for Conrail and was a laborer for the Construction Union. Doc was a member of the Tyrone Methodist Church in West Virginia and the Aerie Eagles Club of Andover, Ohio. He enjoyed farming, gardening, horse pulling and plowing and he loved his dog Lady. Doc is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Madge Friend; seven brothers, Clyde, Everret, Leroy, Floyd, Freddie, Carl and Lloyd. Survivors include three sisters, Sylvia Dunn and Georgie Hammack both of Morgantown, West Virginia and Hazel (Kermit) Galloway of Bruceton Mills, West Virgina; a brother Allen Hussing of Masontown, West Virginia and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 8, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with a service at 3:00pm at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 High Street, Morgantown, West Virginia. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Morgantown, West Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave. Ashtabula, OH 44004, and the family would like to thank Hospice for their tender care.
