Orwell, Ohio - Lila J. Koston, age 66, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born on August 14, 1944, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Imogene I. (Hughes) and Lyle E. Sprague. A 1962 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Lila was an Orwell resident for the past two years and was formerly a longtime resident of Williamsfield, Ohio. She owned and operated Lila's Taxidermy. On December 29, 1989, she married David J. Koston. Lila loved being in the outdoors, going hunting, fishing, turkey hunting and cooking wildlife. She was a member of the Orwell Gun Club, Women in the Outdoors, Women on Target, National Wild Turkery Federation, County League, Ashtabula County Wildlife conservation League, Jakes Oakley Award, Wheeling Sportsman, Crooked Creek Conservation League, Boss Hen of Grand River Chapter, was on the Friendly Trapper Show and was know as the Mount'in MaMa Taxidermist. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James P. Glancy, Sr.; second husband, David J. Koston; a brother, Lyle E. Sprague, Jr.; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Magen and Michael. Survivors include two daughters, Shelley A. Glancy of Warren, Ohio and cynthia L. (Luis Mateo) Cogar of Williamsfield, Ohio; a son, James P. (Tamara) Glancy, Jr. of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; two sisters, Linda I. (John) Chuirazzi and Wendy E. (Robert) Butler both of Girard, Ohio; two brothers, George C. (Pam) Sprague and Donald L. (Cheryl) Sprague both of Niles, Ohio; six. grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Donald, Robby, Anthony and Jay; seven great grandchilren and special friend and mentor Bill Nelson of Andover, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 3:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 2nd from 1:00pm until the time of servies. Memorial contributions may be made to Baumgardner's.
