Andover, Ohio – Linda Kay Ball, age 61, died at her home on Saturday, January 11, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1952, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Emma (Faye) and Howard Bish. A longtime area resident, Linda was a nursing assistant for Chardon Quality Care. On August 28, 1975, she married James David Ball, Sr. She was a member of the Harvest International Church of Austinburg. Linda enjoyed spending time alongside her husband in his log truck or in his restaurant “Mr. Jim’s Family Restaurant” in Andover. She loved to spend time with her twelve grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her parents; a son, James David Ball, Jr., on October 4, 1995 and two sisters, Dorothy and Bonnie. Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years, James D. Ball, Sr.; three daughters, Tina Ball and Jennifer Ball of Jacksonville, Florida and Angie Ball of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Betty Hoffstetter of New Lyme, Ohio; a brother, James Bish of Williamsfield, Ohio and twelve grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Rev. Robert Gears officiating.
