Linda E. Salo

LINDA E. SALO, age 61, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, November 8, 2007, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born July 1, 1946, in Warren, Ohio, to Raymond and Lois (Williams) Betts. A long time Andover resident, Linda was a 1964 Pymatuning Valley High School graduate. She was employed in the banking industry for thirty years and was most recently employed at the Andover Bank Operations Center. Linda was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading,cooking, camping, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her husband, John E. Salo, whom she married February 20, 1965, of Andover; three daughters, Rhonda L. Lane of Andover, Anita J. (James) Jenkins of Boardman, OH, and Christine M. (Chris) Claypoole of Andover; her mother, Lois Betts of Andover; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Heather, Zachary, Kayla, Colton, Joshua, Braden, and Bennett; one sister, Peggy Ernest of Apex, NC; three brothers, Neil Betts of Hartford,OH, Bill Betts of Chandler, AZ, and Doug Betts of Hartville, OH; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Peter Elencovf officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday, November 11th from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home.
