Lois Hoover, age 91, of Andover, OH, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016, at her home surrounded by family. She was born December 29, 1924, in Andover, OH, a daughter of N. Lee and Wavie (Gay) French. A lifelong resident of Andover, Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker; a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover; as well as a member of Eastern Star. Her hobbies included golfing, reading, and quilting. She was a member of the Covered Bridge Stitchers and Penn View Quilters. Mrs. Hoover married Jack D. Hoover on July 1, 1945, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1977. She is also preceded by her parents; and her brother, Lawrence French. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Hughes of Andover, OH; her son, Rick (Bonnie) Hoover of Troy, OH; her daughter, Pam (Stuart) McIntosh of Andover, OH; her four grandchildren, RaChelle Hoover, Steff (Jim) Fox, Melissa Hunt, and Christopher Hunt; her six great grandchildren, Quinten, Brooklyn (Cody), Zaylee, Zurrenity, Rylan, and Nolan. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 6:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 181 S. Main St., Andover, OH. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the church. An Eastern Star Service will be held prior to the service at 5:30 PM. A private burial of her cremated remains will take place later in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.
