Lorena O. Williams

Lorena O. Williams, age 94, of Andover, OH, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Andover Village Retirement Community. She was born November 10, 1919, in Plateau, Alabama, a daughter of Henry and Lucinda (Jones) Lucas. A long time area resident, Mrs. Williams retired from Andover Industries after many years of service. She was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Ladies Aid Society. She was also very active in the Country Neighbor program in Orwell. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, and she always had a green thumb and enjoyed flower gardening. Mrs. Williams married Shepard Williams on April 21, 1948. He died March 5, 1991. She is also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Buford Williams; one sister; and two brothers. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherilyn Williams of Ashtabula, OH, and Nita Lorainne Williams of Columbus, OH; two grandchildren, William S. Bradley and Candace L. Bradley; 7 Great Grandchildren; two nieces, Carol Pickette and Mary Jones, both of Plateau, Alabama; several other nieces and nephews; and close friends, Grace Cunningham of Andover, Rae Ann McCarthy of Williamsfield, Kathy Burke of Georgia, and Bernice Watson of Williamsfield. A funeral service will be on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
