Loretta J. Palette

Loretta J. Palette, age 82, of Gustavus township, OH, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born July 16, 1932, in French Creek, WV, a daughter of Davis and Lucille (Stein) Perry. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Palette was employed by Packard Electric in Warren for several years. She formerly attended the Gustavus Federated Church; and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mecca and the Burdette Edgar Totten VFW Post #6263 Auxiliary, Gustavus. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting; and she enjoyed camping and the outdoors. Mrs. Palette married her husband, James B. Palette, Sr., on July 24, 1954. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2003. She is also preceded by her parents; her grandson, Michael Stephen Palette; three sisters, Kathrine Hartwell,Cheryl Cozadd, and Edith Perry; and one brother, Ronnie Perry. She is survived by six loving children, Karen (Clark) Rymer of Dunnellon, FL, James (Tiffany) Palette, Jr. of Commerce, GA, William (Lois) Palette of Gustavus township, OH, Patricia (Gordon) Burnett of Hartford, OH, Renee (Herkie) Walls of Orlando, FL, and Kimberly Palette of Gustavus township,OH; 12 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; sister, Betty Colla of Mineral Ridge, OH, brother, Davis "Lyell" Perry of Gustavus township,OH, brother, Carl Perry of South Carolina, brother, Larry Perry of South Carolina, sister, Denise Granally of Vienna,OH, and brother, Gary Perry of Niles,OH. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH, with her son-in-law, Pastor Herkie Walls, officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
