Louis S. Sayre

Louis S. Sayre, 86 years old, of Southington, Ohio, died on Monday, June 28, 2004, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren City, Ohio. Louis was born on March 26, 1918, in Moundsville, WV, to the late Arthur Sayre and the late Nellie Mae (Harker) Sayre. A long time Southington resident, Mr. Sayre was a farmer. He was a member of the Delightful Evangelical Church in Southington. He married Kathryn (Banfield) on October 5, 1940, and was preceded in death by her on July 31, 1998. Mr. Sayre was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Sayre; a daughter, Naomi Morrison; and a granddaughter, Trina Sayre. He enjoyed woodworking and quilting. He is survived by his son, Stanley Sayre of Mantua, OH; his son, Donald Sayre of Southington, OH; his daughter, Nancy Sizmore of Mechanicsville, VA; his siter, Louise Banfield of Saint Clairsville, OH; his sister, Wilma Emfield of Saint Clairsville, OH; his brother, Perman Sayre of Saint Clairsville, OH; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, on Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 11:00a.m. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 30th, from 6-9p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Kinsman Cemetery.
