Lydia E. Hyde

Lydia E. Hyde, age 93, of Warren, Ohio, died Friday, November 11, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, OH. She was born February 7, 1918, in Hartford, OH, a daughter of Nelson A. Hyde and Carrie Belle (Acer) Hyde. Formerly of Gustavus, Ms. Hyde was employed as an inspector for over 37 years at the Ohio Lamp GE Plant in Warren, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warren, where she belonged to the Charity Circle and Keenagers. She also was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, where she served as chaplain; and she volunteered for the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. Her hobbies included growing flowers, puzzles, reading, and walking; and she enjoyed family reunions. Ms. Hyde is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Caroline Morris; and four brothers, Ghordis, Herbert, Harold, and Allan Hyde. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 13th from 2 PM to 4 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3695 Boardman Canfield Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.
