Greenville, Pennsylvania - Mabel S. Davis, age 92, died on November 10, 2006 at St. Paul Homes, in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on November 23, 1913 in Orangeville, Ohio to Alexander and Mayme (Hasenplug) Schadt. A Kinsman resident for over sixty-four years, Mrs. Davis was a 1931 graduate of Vernon School. She attended Thiel College and received a teaching degree from Kent State University. Mrs. Davis taught at Gustavus, Kinsman and Vernon Schools. Along with her husband she owned and operated Walwood Dairy Farm. She was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church where she held many offices. Mrs. Davis was also a member of the former Kinsman Eastern Star, and the Social Arts and Tourist Clubs of Kinsman. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and entertaining guests. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Wallace "Mac" Davis whom she married on June 8, 1940. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Schadt; sisters, Grace Schroeder and Iva Englebaugh. Survivors include her son, Donald M. Davis of Kinsman; daughters, Mary Ellen (Wayne) Isaac of Wichita, Kansas, Diane K. (Larry) Stevens of Williamsfield, Ohio and granddaughters, Abbey and Jennifer Isaac. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Larry A. Myers officiating. Private burial will be held in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
