Madalen E. Beil, age 87, died on Thursday, March 08, 2007. She was born on September 18, 1919 in Canton, Ohio to David F. Rutter I, and Magdalena (Zeller) Rutter. Mrs. Beil was a 1937 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Formerly of the Kinsman, Johnston and Gustavus area, Mrs. Beil was the Secretary/Treasurer of Cortland Bank for over twenty-four years, with many of those years at the Brookfield branch. She was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and active in the Ladies Circle. She was a member of the Kinsman Chapter No. 181 Order of Eastern Star for over sixty years. On September 13, 1941 she married Samuel A. Beil and helped run the family dairy farm in Johnston. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking family meals. Mrs. Beil was preceded in death by her parents at a young age. She and her younger brother David were raised by her older sister Thelma B. and Ted Hanel. They also precede her in death along with Samuel her husband of almost forty-one years. She is survived by three sons, Samuel A. (Cheryl) Beil Jr. of Hubbard, Ohio, James R. (Debbie) Beil of Johnston, Ohio, and David G. (Gayle) Beil of Gustavus, Ohio; a brother David F. Rutter II of Hilton Head, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Samuel A. Beil III, Shannon (Jeff) Duggin, Jessie (Mike) Rabich, Jamie Beil, Victoria (Jay) Calhoun, Nathan Beil, Melanie Beil, Wayne VanGorder and Stephanie Battison; and nine great grandchildren, Landan, Ireland, Taylor, Colton, J.W., Brandon, Michael, Madalen and Brooklyn. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Rev. Larry A. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Johnston Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 10th from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
