Marcella E. Cancilla

Andover, Ohio - Marcella E. Cancilla, age 85, died on Friday, May 23, 2008 at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on September 12, 1922 the daughter of John Lienert Sr. and Marcella (Kaiser) Lienert. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Cancilla moved to Andover in 1994. Mrs. Cancilla married Joseph A. Cancilla on July 31, 1946. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover, Ohio. Mrs. Cancilla enjoyed knitting, cooking, doing crafts, playing bingo and loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce A. Puskar and a brother, John Lienert Jr. Survivors include her husband of sixty one years, Joseph A. Cancilla of Andover, Ohio; two sons, Joseph J. Cancilla of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and James M. (Cris) Cancilla of Williamsfield, Ohio; a daughter, Janet H. (James) Palange of Reading, Pennsylvania; a sister, Bernice Witt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, Joseph, Jeffrey, Matthew, James, Michelle, James, Charlene, Heather, Kristen and Richard and fifteen great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Main Street, Andover, Ohio, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 26th at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, and Ohio from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
