Marcella M. O'Brien Lane

Marcella O'Brien Lane, age 83, of Summerfield, Florida, died of cancer on December 31, 2004, at the home of her daughter in Kinsman. She was born Janaury 2, 1921, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Frederick and Leone (Aldridge) Preece. A 1939 graduate of Champion High School, she was an avid sports fan and played in several marching bands. She worked for Dr. James Williams for 10 years and retired from the County Treasurer's office in Warren, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Richard F. Lane, whom she married on November 26, 1984. She left three daughters, Kathleen (John) Shearon of Virginia Beach, VA; Colleen (Dick) Smith of Kinsman, OH; and Penny (Stuart) Schweitt of Northridge, CA; two step sons, Richard (Dolores) Lane and James (Lisette) Lane, all of Titusville, PA; three step daughters, Vickie (Cal) Herring of Logansville, GA; Linda (Ron) Westfall of Hopkinsville, KY; and Suzanne Emerson of Manassas, VA. Mimi will be missed by her loving four grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and nine step great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, John T. O'Brien of Niles, Ohio, and her two brothers, Leslie Preece and Leland Preece of Warren, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at 1:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio.
