Margaret Maurin Anderson, 91 years old, of Ashtabula, OH, died on Friday, January 23, 2004, at Park Haven Home in Ashtabula, OH. Mrs. Anderson was born in Ironwood, Michigan, to the late Frank Petrusha and the late Josephine (O'Donnell) Petrusha. Margaret attended St. Mary's of Notre Dame for two years and acquired an Associate's degree in the secretarial field. After graduation, she worked for the Department of Agriculture in Marquette, Michigan, where she met her husband-to-be, Mark P. Maurin. They were married on September 24, 1941. They had two children, Marne (Jim) Stoffel of Andover, Ohio, and Mark (Mindy) Maurin, III, of Des Moines, Washinton. Also surviving her are three grandchildren, Amy Stoffel of Omaha, Nebraska, Margo (Jack) Meola of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Gregg (Stacy) Stoffel of Los Angeles, California. Margaret raised her family and was a homemaker living in Richfield, Minnesota until 1950, when they moved their family to Craig, Colorado. Margaret and Mark managed the Gamble's store in Craig from 1950 to 1960. After selling the store, Margaret went to work for the Moffat County School District as Secretary to the Principal and retired with the position of Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools. In 1972, after thirty-one years of marriage, Mark died of cancer. On August 28, 1974, Margaret married Robert Anderson of Craig, Colorado. They were married for seven years when he died in 1981. in 1988, Margaret moved to be closer to her daughter in Andover. For the past 8 1/2 years she has lived at Park Haven Home in Ashtabula. Margaret belonged to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Craig and was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She also attended Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover. Margaret always enjoyed sharing a smile and "I love you" to whoever she met. Margaret had an older brother, Lawrence (Pat) Petrusha, a teacher, who drowned at the age of 28 in 1936, trying to save fellow teachers who had been in a rowboat that capsized. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, Ohio, with Father David Misbrener officiating. Burial will follow in West Andover Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, P.O.
