Margaret E. "Peggy" Shaner

Margaret E. "Peggy" Shaner, age 61, of Kinsman,Ohio, died at home on Sunday, November 28, 2010. She was born August 31, 1949, in Williamsfield, Ohio, a daughter of John and Emma (Williams) Lower. A lifetime Kinsman resident, Peggy was a 1967 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. She was employed in Kinsman by Carosellies and Wildwood Restaurants; and Bob's Market. She was a member of the Mother's Club in Jamestown, PA; and enjoyed bowling, collecting clocks, playing cards and scratch off tickets, and was an amazing pie maker. She loved to spend time with her family, friends, and her many pets; but most of all she enjoyed life and making others happy. Peggy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert S. Shaner, whom she married Dec. 16, 1967, of Kinsman, OH; her two daughters, Lori Scharba of Kinsman, OH, and Rebecca (Michael) Karafa of Warren, OH; her four grandsons, Richard Dean and Andrew Scharba, and Payton and Parker Karafa; her one sister, Angel (Jim) Shaner of Kinsman, OH; her four brothers, John Lower of Champion, OH, Michael Lower of Williamsfield, OH, Earl Walton of Greenville, PA, and Don Walton of West Virginia; and her many nieces, nephews, and families. She is preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Melvin Lower; her son-in-law, Richard Scharba; and her father-in-law, Robert Shaner. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 7 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Pastor Bill Johnson officiating. Cremation will follow.
