Marie V. Miller

Marie V. Miller, age 90, of Gustavus township, OH, died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Over the Rainbow in Cortland,OH. She was born November 18, 1925, in Kinsman,OH, a daughter of Walter D. and Addie (Wall) Sutton. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Miller was a 1943 graduate of Kinsman High School. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her family business. Mrs. Miller was a long time member of Gustavus Federated Church; a member of the Gustavus Community Aide, Gustavus Historical Society, and Gustavus Friendly Garden Club. She also belonged to the Gustavus Grange, Farm Bureau Council, and the U & I Club. Her hobbies included flower gardening, coin and stamp collecting, and collecting newspaper clippings. She loved to travel and did travel to all states in the United States. Mrs. Miller married Forest H. Miller on August 25, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2009. She is also preceded by her parents; and two brothers, Malry "Buck" Sutton and Jim Sutton. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Patti) Miller of Gustavus township, OH, W. Dean (Leslie) Miller of Gustavus township, OH; two daughters, Darlene (Michael) Thomas of Denver, CO, and Janet (Virgil) Houser of Gustavus township, OH; 8 Grandchildren, Abbey, Sarah, Ben, Evan, Adam, Ashley, Katelyn, and Clayton; 13 Great Grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty (Walter) Gruskiewicz of Williamsfield,OH, and Margie Powell of Kinsman,OH. A private graveside service will be held in Gustavus Cemetery. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
