Marie L. Sika

Marie L. Sika, 92 yrs old, of Williamsfield, OH, died on Friday, January 9, 2004, at St. Paul Homes Health Center in Greenville, PA. Mrs. Sika was born on October 2, 1911, in Pittsburgh, PA, to the late Andrew T. Lepczyk and the late Frances (Zalewski) Lepczyk. Formerly of Farrell, PA, Mrs. Sika had lived in Williamsfield, Ohio, since 1972. She had been at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, PA, since 1999. She worked for the former Westinghouse Corporation for over 32 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar & Rosary Society, Altar Preparation, and was an Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of Polish Women's Alliance, Group #338, Pittsburgh, PA. Mrs. Sika was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Szatowski in 1958, and by her second husband, Charles Sika in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Carroll and Theresa Lomnicki, and her brother, Steven A. Lepsig. She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Scholz of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, Edward A. Lepczyk of Pittsburgh, PA; her sister, Sylvia F. Lepczyk of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, Andrew J. Lepczyk also of Pittsburgh, PA; and many Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, South Main Street, Andover, Ohio, at 10:00a.m. Burial will take place in St. Anne's Cemetery, Hermitage, PA. Calling hours will be on Monday, January 12, 2004, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover.
