MARILYN M. HYDE, age 76, of Gustavus Township, Ohio, died Saturday, December 16, 2006, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. She was born September 14, 1930, in Linesville, PA, to Joseph L. and Alma C. (John) Bryer. A long time Gustavus township resident, Mrs. Hyde was a homemaker. She was employed by Pennsylvania Electric Co., formerly in Meadville, PA, as a bookkeeper for six years; and also by Ohio Power Co. in Canton,OH, as a billing clerk for a short time. Mrs. Hyde was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kinsman,OH, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Chat & Patch Club in Kinsman; and her hobbies included cooking and reading. In her younger years, Mrs. Hyde enjoyed skating and playing basketball and softball . More recently, she enjoyed watching all sports. Mrs. Hyde married Harold M. Hyde, Sr., on January 3, 1957. He died August 8, 2001. Also preceding her in death are her parents and one sister, Helen R. Bryer. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine R. Hyde of Gustavus Township, OH, daughter, Carrie A. Hyde of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Lydia E. Hyde of Gustavus township, OH, son, Harold M. (Patti) Hyde, Jr. of Warren, OH, son, Allan R. Hyde of Gustavus township, OH, daughter, Denise M. (Paul) Roberts of Eagle, Idaho, and son, Mark J. Hyde of Warren,OH; three brothers, Joseph J. Bryer of Linesville, PA, Robert W. Bryer of Meadville, PA, and Raymond H. Bryer of Brook Park,OH; 4 grandchildren, Alexis and Kelsey Hyde, Devin Roberts, and Jared Hyde. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Rt. 87, Kinsman,OH, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Mrs. Hyde will be cremated. The family suggests memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1834, Merrifield, VA 22116-8034.
