Marilyn M. Thurber

Marilyn M. Thurber, age 85, of Vernon Township,OH, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at her home. She was born September 3, 1925, in Toledo, OH, a daughter of John Erwin Henry Moy and Helen Julia (Beach) Moy. A long time Vernon resident, Mrs. Thurber was employed as a ward clerk at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren for 32 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Warren, OH, where she was very active. She enjoyed gardening and shopping. Mrs. Thurber is survived by her three daughters, Andrea L. Culver of Springville, CA, Pamela E. Rossi of Telaco, TN, and Kimberly Ann (Rick) Kirby of Vernon; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, David A. Thurber, whom she married Oct. 19, 1950; and two brothers, LaVerre B. Moy and John H. Moy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 6:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1645 North Rd., Warren,OH.
