Mark R. Cookingham, age 34, of Richmond Township, OH, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at his home. He was born October 20, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Edward and Frances (Armstrong) Cookingham, Sr. A graduate of Geneva High School and the Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, Mark was employed as a mechanic for Western Reserve for several years. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, and collecting old Lincolns. Mark loved his family and his work. He is survived by his wife, Sheila K. (Slapnicker) Cookingham, whom he married Sept. 9, 2005, of Richmond; two sons, Jeremy, age 23, (Amy) Hodgkinson of Richmond, and Kyle, age 20, (Tish) Hodgkinson of Richmond; two daughters, Ava Cookingham, age 4, of Richmond, and Ada Cookingham, age 3, of Richmond; a grandson, Charlie Hodgkinson; his parents, Edward and Frances Cookingham, Sr. of Geneva, OH; his four brothers, Edward Cookingham, Jr. of West Virginia, Thomas Cookingham of Geneva,OH, Michael Cookingham of Madison, OH, and Terry Cookingham of Painesville, OH; and one sister, Laura (Derrick) Storm of Georgia. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Anna L. Phelps; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH.
