Marlene Rae Stevens

Mecca, Ohio - Marlene Rae Stevens, age 54, died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 4, 1962 in Greenville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Barbara Ann -Guy and Daniel Mark Braden. She was a 1980 graduate of Maplewood High School. On September 22, 2003 she married Frederick Lee "Rick" Stevens. She loved to solve puzzles and had a small farm. Marlene enjoyed taking her grandchildren to water parks and Chuck-E-Cheese, instilling in them that hard work paid off with rewards. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, whom she had been with for over nineteen years, who died on December 13, 2016 and her three step-sons, Justin, Jeffrey and Jesse Stevens. Marlene is survived by her parents, Barbara (James) Guy of Mecca; Daniel M. Braden of Kinsman, Ohio; her daughter, Rachel Ann (William) Fox of Mecca, Ohio; three grandchildren, Caden, Lil Will and Aubree; several step grandchildren; her sister, Marsha J. (Bill) Kochemba of Kinsman, Ohio; a brother, John D. Braden of Kinsman, Ohio; a step-brother, Steven G. Madison of Niles, Ohio and her best friend, Becca Hazel of Bazetta, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 6:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with William Kochemba officiating.
