Kinsman, Ohio - Martin S. Luther, age 78, died on November 30, 2007, at his home. He was born on January 19, 1929, in Farrell, Pennsylvania, to Stanley and Mary (Kapurik) Luther. Mr. Luther was a 1948 graduate of Farrell High School and served in the United States Army. He was an operating engineer for David Construction of Hermitage, Pennsylvania for over thirty years, and was employed by Maybrook Construction Company, of Brookfield, Ohio, until he retired in 1995, and was a fifty one year member of the IUOE Local 66 Union. Mr. Luther was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Kinsman and the former Knights of Columbus of Kinsman. He enjoyed constructing model aircraft, boats and cars, and boating on Mosquito Lake and Lake Erie. On July 27, 1960, he married Donna Lee Kren. Married for forty three years, she preceded him in death on April 28, 2004. Also preceding him in death are his parents, an infant sister Midlred Luther; four sisters, Josephine Mack and Dorothy Pucel, Mary Luther and Ludmilla "Mitzi" Luther. Survivors include a daughter, Laura L. (Stephen) Scott of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; three sons, Eric M. (Kelly O'Donnell) Luther of West Chester, Ohio, Jeffrey M. Luther of Grove City, Pennsylvania, and Brian M. Luther of Chardon, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kevin, Alec and Erin Luther, and Jonah and Amie Scott; two sisters, Julia Luther, Ann Bobish both of Farrell, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6397 State Route 87, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
