Mary E. "Betty" Bell

Mary E. "Betty" Bell, age 90, of Warren, OH, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at her home. She was born August 20, 1920 in Verona, Pennsylvania to John R. and Lucy B. (Carlton) Gribble. A long time area resident, Betty was a homemaker. She married Harry J. Bell on October 2, 1959, and was preceded in death by him on January 15, 1987. She attended the Greenville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Greenville, PA, where she sang in the choir and belonged to JOY. She was a member of the Red Hat Society "Jewels of Delight"; and was an avid walker at the Eastwood Mall. She enjoyed doing puzzles, crafts, cake decorating, and traveling, especially taking Anderson bus trips. Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Bob) Burton of Navarre, FL, her daughter, Priscilla (Dennis) Sharp of Warren,OH, her son, Joe (Denise) Bell of Warren,OH, her son, Harry Lee (Claudia) Bell of Warren,OH; her four grandchildren, Michelle (Tom Stangl) Burton of Cantonment, FL, Sheri (Bill) Roberts of Baker, FL, and Samantha Bell and Joe Bell, both of Lexington, KY; her two great grandchildren, Joshua and Kaela; and her sister, Rosalie Hipkins of Cortland,OH. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Luella Kyser; and a brother, Marion Gribble. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH, with Pastor Merle Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Ridge Cemetery, West Salem Township, PA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 19th from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
