MARY J. FERENCHAK, age 90, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Garvey Manor in Hollidaysburg, PA. Born on Oct. 20, 1916 in New Alexandria, PA to Peter and Anna Tokasz. She married Joseph J. Ferenchak on Oct. 15, 1935, and was preceded in death by him in 1994. She was raised and spent most of her life in Youngstown, Ohio, where she, her husband and family were members of Saint Edward's Church. In 1977, after Joseph's retirement, they moved to their summer cottage on Pymatuning Lake in Andover, Ohio where they were active members of Our Lady of Victory Church. Mary was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Her joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and doing a variety of handcrafts. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Ihnat, Palm Harbor, FL, Sister M. Joachim Anne, O. Carm.(Theresa), Hollidaysburg, PA, and Elaine (John) DePietro, Austintown, OH; her sons, Joseph J. (Peggy) Ferenchak, Jr., Cortland, OH, Robert E. (Patricia) Ferenchak, Parma, OH, and Thomas (Margaret ) Ferenchak, Lake Forest, IL; her grandchildren, Edward Ihnat, Jean (Ihnat) Saccucci, Joseph J. III, Douglas , Christopher, Robert S., Ronald, Denise, Megan,and Kevin Ferenchak, Brian DePietro, and Valerie DePietro; 11 great granchildren; and her brothers, Frank and Stephen Tokasz. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth Rusbacky and Katherine, her brothers, Joseph and Albert, her half-sister, Anna Steber, and her half brother, John Ferencak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Our Lady of Victory Church, Andover, Ohio at 11:30 AM with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Calling hours will be held at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover on Thursday, May 3, 2007 from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery.
