Mary Esther Ford

Kinsman, Ohio - Mary Esther Ford, age 82, died on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at home with her family by her side. She was born on December 27, 1929, in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Loretta (Pavolillo) and Daniel C. Corrado. She was a 1947 graduate of McKinley High School. On April 21, 1951, she married John Bernard Ford. Mrs. Ford was the children's librarian at the Kinsman Library for twenty eight years and retired in 2001. She had a passion for telling stories and had a collection of puppets for the weekly story hours that she told at the library and the local preschools. Mrs. Ford is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-four years, John B. Ford who died on April 22, 1995 and a brother, Andrew Corrado. Survivors include three sons, Paul F. Ford of San Diego, California, John J. (Susan) Ford of Cuyahoga Falls, Joel A. (Linda) Ford of Kinsman, Ohio; six grandchildren Ammon, Angela, Jared, Danielle, Emily, and Nathan Ford; three sisters, Jennie Rolando of Hudson, Florida, Rose Corrado and Phyllis Koon both of Niles, Ohio and a brother, Daniel (Laura) Corrado, Jr. of Niles, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3rd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Ford's memory to the Kinsman Free Public Library to help fund new furniture for the children's room (PO Box 166, Kinsman, Ohio, 44428).
