Mary Givens

Andover, Ohio - Mary Givens, age 69, died on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at her home. She was born on January 1, 1943, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Edna Mary (Treager) and William Bernard Law. Formerly of Niles, Ohio, Mary was a 1961 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. On February 5, 1962 she married John R. "Jack" Givens. Formerly she was a member of St. Stevens Catholic Church and she attended the Andover Christian Church in Andover. Mary enjoying gardening, fishing, traveling, going to garage sales, and collecting antiques and vintage jewelry. Mary's deepest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of fifty years John "Jack" Givens of Andover, Ohio; two daughters, Cheryl (Jeff Peebles) Nickerson of Hartstown, Pennsylvania and Julie (Craig Cameron) Ellenis, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; two sons, James (Karen) Givens of Burghill, Ohio and Paul (Jen) Givens of Niles, Ohio; a sister, Brenda (Ken) Hann of Vail, Arizona; a brother, Mike Law of Niles, Ohio; her Mother-in-Law, Betty Petrosky of Kinsman, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Danielle and Michael Ellenis, Kaitlyn, Mitch and Matt Givens and Samantha, Krislyn and Jake Smith. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service at 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4:00pm until the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
