Mary L. Samuels

Mary L. Samuels, age 84, of Hartford township, Ohio, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Sharon Regional Hospital in Sharon, PA. She was born August 19, 1929, in Hartford, OH, a daughter of John and Rozemma (Phillips) Taylor. A lifetime area resident, Mrs. Samuels was employed at Cleveland Brass in Kinsman; Packard Electric in Warren; and also Jones Processing in Hartford, Ohio. She was a very active member of the Hartford Community Church; and she belonged to the Hartford Chapter #518, where she had been a Grand Representative in 1990. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several clubs where she will be missed by many. Mrs. Samuels married Phillip E. Samuels on October 2, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2007. Also preceding her in death are her parents; one sister; and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Mabel (John) Pelton of Geneva, OH; four grandchildren, Robert (Kay) Hartman of Brookfield,OH, Rebecca (Joe) Valentine of Bergholz, OH, Larry (Robin) Pelton of Fowler township, OH, and Laurie (Jeff) Jones of Johnston Township,OH; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret "Peg" Taylor of Sharpsville, PA. A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Hartford Community Church, 3312 St. Rt. 7, Fowler, OH.
