Maude E. Seaman, age 89, of Andover, Ohio, died Monday, November 7, 2005 at Bedford Medical Center. She was born March 8,1916 in Cleveland, OH, to Arthur Murton and Viola (Ward) Singleton. A long time Andover area resident, Mrs. Seaman formerly owned the Dorset Country Food Mart in Dorset. She also owned the Gingham Pantry restaurant in Bedford, Ohio with her sisters, and was employed at the Ford plant in Waltonn Hills, Ohio for a number of years. Mrs. Seaman was a member of the Andover Church of Christ; and she enjoyed cooking, playing the organ, doing word search puzzles, and she was especially well known in the area for her baking. She also cooked and helped with the Country Neighbor program in Andover. Mrs. Seaman is survived by her son, Ronald (Donna) Seaman of Kinsman, OH, daughter, Linda DeSantis of Northfield Center, OH, and son, John (Mary Anne) Seaman of Andover,OH; a brother, Charles Singleton of Florida; 6 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Seaman married John H. Seaman on December 22, 1934, and is preceded in death by him on October 13,1995. Also preceding her in death are her son-in-law, Rudy DeSantis; two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth Murton; and six sisters, Roberta Galic, LaVerne Kling, Delores Barbado, Fannie Turle, Mary Catherine Pfarrer, and Gladys Cox. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover,Ohio. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park in Twinsburg,OH. Calling hours will be Thursday,November 10th from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeralhome.
