M. Eileen Martin

Greenville, Pennsylvania – M. Eileen Martin, age 97, died on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on October 29, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Mariana (O’Donel) and Frank Joseph Manion. Formerly of Lakewood, Ohio and North Olmsted, Ohio, Mrs. Martin was a resident of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida for over thirty years, moving to Greenville in 2012. She was a graduate of Ursuline College. Mrs. Martin taught at St. Augustine Academy in Lakewood, Ohio, retiring after many years of service. On January 24, 1942 she married, George Joseph Martin, Jr. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenville and of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and playing bridge. Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty-two years, George J. Martin, Jr.; a son Terence J. Martin; a grandson, Thomas Boyert; a great grandson, Christian Walters; a brother, Hubert C. Manion and son-in-law, Chester N. Terrill, Sr. Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen M. (Dale) Walters of Frederick, Maryland, Sheila A. Terrill of Kinsman, Ohio and Mary F. (Tom) Boyert of Norcross, Georgia; a son, Kevin M. Martin of Lakewood, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6397 State Route 87, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Jeffrey M. Stealey officiating. Calling hours will be at the church from 9:30 am until the time of services. A private burial will be held at St. Michael's Cemetery in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
