Melanie J. (Burt) Charvat, 36 years old, of Burton, Ohio, died on Friday, October 8, 2004, at home due to complications from heart disease and diabetes. She was born February 9, 1968, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Larry G. and Sherron M. (Piper) Burt. Formerly of Williamsfield, Melanie was a 1986 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover. Four aspects of life employed Melanie: The first was as a daughter, sweet and loving as a youth, rebellious and mischievous as a teen and finally a grown woman that a parent could be proud of. The second was as a sister, disliked and picked on when she was younger, loved and respected as the middle and only sister in a family of three children. The third was as a wife, both good and bad in the beginning, but loved and missed now that she has passed on. Fourth was as a stay at home mom to her two young children, undoubtedly during her life, this was her greatest achievement. From this point on, all four employers would gladly hire her back. Melanie married Arthur J. Charvat III on December 20, 1997. Preceding her in death are a son, Jacob, in 1988; and her paternal grandparents, Garland and Lois Burt. She is survived by her husband, Arthur J. Charvat, III of Burton, OH; her son, Cody A. Charvat of Burton, OH; her daughter, Taeler N. Charvat of Burton, OH; her parents, Larry G. and Sherron M. (Piper) Burt of Williamsfield, OH; her brother, Bradfield Burt of Andover, OH; her brother, Andrew Burt of San Diego, CA; and Maternal grandparents, George and Edna Mary Piper of Kinsman, OH. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating.
