Fowler, Ohio - Mirtie Jo Belew, age 86, died on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Concord Care Center of Cortland where she received wonderful care for the past eight months. She was born on April 2, 1920 in Webster Springs, West Virginia to Thomas and Laura (Anderson) Clutter. Formerly of Howland, Mrs. Belew was a resident on Mahan Denman for the past forty years. She was an Xray technician for several hospitals including Sacred Heart Hospital in Richwood, West Virginia, Timkin Mercy Hospital in Canton and North Madison NEO Hospital. Mrs. Belew also drove school bus for Maplewood school district for several years. She married Richard Belew on October 5, 1962. He died on September 25, 2002. Mrs. Belew enjoyed bowling, flower gardening and making ceramics. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorsey Cochran and Virgie Cochran; an infant brother; and brothers Earl, Raymond, and Lemon Clutter. Survivors include three sons, Dewey J. (Wanda) Cutlip of Burghill, Ohio, Billy J. (Andrea) Cutlip of Painsville, Ohio, and Robert E. Cutlip of Conway, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Agatha Corvett of Flatswood, West Virginia, and Audivie Brown of Geneva, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery, Vernon, Ohio. Calling hours will be on Monday, July 24, 2006 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
