Nancy L. Drozd

Nancy L. Drozd, age 68, of Cortland, Ohio, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH. She was born July 6, 1940, in Orwell, OH, the daughter of Claude Virgal and Lilah Marie (Ulrich) Howard. Formerly of Cherry Valley Township, Ohio, Nancy had been a long time Cortland resident. She was a 1959 graduate of Williamsfield High School and attended business school. She retired as an inspector from Kennametal in Orwell after thirty five years. She formerly attended the Colebrook United Methodist Church; and she enjoyed flower gardening, reading, crocheting, and bead crafts. Nancy was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her family. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Lenora C. Brown of Champion, OH, and Cynthia M. Hayden of Niles, OH; her one son, Alexander Joseph Hayden III of Akron, OH; three grandchildren, Julie (William Jr.) Gress, Christine Brown, and Stephen Brown, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Haley Smith, Leaha Gress, William Gress III, and Benjamin Gress; one brother, Emerson (Helen) Howard of Arizona; three sisters, Loretta (Marty) Atha of Geneva, OH, Donna (Donald) Piper of Arizona, and Claudia (Kent) Fredrick of Wyoming. She is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Colebrook United Methodist Church, State Rt. 45, Colebrook, Ohio.
