Naomi Gay Luna

Naomi Gay Luna, 65 of 6694 State Route 5, Johnston, Ohio, died Thursday, November 24, 2005, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born on August 19, 1940 in West Union, West Virginia to Richard C. and Winona Madge (Swentzel) Bland. A longtime Johnston resident, Mrs. Luna was a member of the Charity Baptist Church of Warren, Ohio. A wonderful mother who loved the Lord, she enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales, collecting cardinals and above all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Luna is preceded in death by her parents, a nephew Dicky Bland and her fiance Lexy Bowen. She is survived by 5 children, daughter Candace M. Newell of Levittsburg, Ohio, daughter Karen J. (Scott) Messenger of Lordstown, Ohio, daughter Vickie L. (Scott) Sutherland, of Newton Falls, Ohio, daughter Toni J. (Mark) Bresenhan of Howland, Ohio and son Bill Luna of Johnston, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Jeffery, Travis Shelby, Tania, Nicole, Ivorie, Derek, Amber, Markie, Madison and Preston; 10 great grandchildren with two on the way; a brother Richard G. Bland; and Nieces Becky and Diane. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 11:00 A. M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Johnston Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2005 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
