Nioma J. Jordan, age 72, of Andover, Ohio, died Monday, December 21, 2009 at Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1937, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of James and Florence (Baker) Moore. Mrs. Jordan was a barmaid for many years at the Eagles Club in Andover and she was employed by "The Little Store" on the square in Andover. She was a member of the Pymatuning Fraternal Order of Eagles #4035 Ladies Auxiliary; and the Scat Girls Card Club. Her hobbies included playing cards and she loved to be with her grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan is survived by a daughter, Debra A. (David) Pierce of Geneva, OH, a son, Edward L. Jordan of Geneva, OH, a daughter, LaMonde "Monie" Jordan of Williamsfield, OH, a son, Jamie (Janet) Jordan of Williamsfielid, OH, a step son, David A. Jordan, Sr. of Wayne township, OH, a step daughter, Debbie Jordan-Vosvurg of Saybrook, OH, five grandchildren, seven step grandchildren,and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Lee Jordan, Sr., whom she married April 25, 1964; her brother, James Moore, Jr.; her sister, Gladys Thornton; and her niece, Diane Thornton. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. A private burial will follow in Dorset Cemetery.
