Norma C. Swick

Norma C. Swick, age 84, of Cortland, Ohio, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at her home. She was born February 12, 1928, in Kinsman, Ohio, a daughter of Ralph W. and Florence E. (Hunter) Fenn. A resident of Cortland for the past four years, Mrs. Swick was formerly of Andover and Kinsman. She formerly attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, and flower arranging. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Mrs. Swick married her first husband, Michael G. Vlock, Jr. on Sept. 13, 1946; and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2003. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Karl C. Fenn and Earl W. Fenn; and three sisters, Shirley Jean Hallock, Roselma N. Parsons, and June E. Swick. She is survived by her second husband, Donald E. Swick, whom she married February 12, 2006, of Cortland; three step daughters, Bonny Carrier of Hartford, OH, Donna (William) Conner of Burghill, OH, and Laurie (Louis) Crossley of Knoxville, TN; two step sons, Mark (Debra) Swick of Espyville, PA, and Ronald (Diane) Swick of Sharon,PA; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; one brother, Ronald W. Fenn of Waxhaw, NC; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman,OH. Burial will follow in West Williamsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 29th from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
