Ora F. Patton

Ora F. Patton, age 84, of Espyville, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at his home. He was born January 4, 1924, in Espyville, the son of Peter F. and Lula (Williams) Patton. A lifetime Espyville resident, Mr. Patton was employed as a rural mail carrier for the Espyville/Linesville Post Offices, retiring in 1984 after 27 years of service. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II; and he was a member of the Westford United Methodist Church. Mr. Patton enjoyed bowling, golfing, and radio controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Conneaut Lake Flyers Club. Mr. Patton is survived by his wife, Doris I. (Cleland) Patton, whom he married March 1, 1964, of Espyville; his son, David E. Patton, of Gasport, NY; his daughter, Kathy A. Davis of Espyville, PA; six grandchildren; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by four half brothers, Ralph I. Patton, and Earl, Herbert, and Raymond Frederick; and one half sister, Esther Jordan. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Espyville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 20th from 3 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westford United Methodist Church, C/O Building Fund.
