Patricia E. Shaffer

Kinsman, Ohio, - Patricia E. Shaffer, age 73, died on Sunday, August 19, 2007. A longtime Kinsman resident, Mrs. Shaffer was born on July 5, 1934, in Andover, Ohio, to Leroy W. and Carrie S. (Bittikoffer) Todd. Mrs. Shaffer was a 1952 graduate of Vernon High School. A loving wife and mother, Mrs. Shaffer owned and operated an Auntie Q's antique shop in Kinsman for five years. She was a member of the Kinsman Fire Department Women's Auxiliary and was a leader for the local Girl Scout troop. She enjoyed doing crafts, reading, antiquing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Shaffer is preceded in death by her parents, and a son Terry Scott Shaffer. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Gene G. Shaffer, whom she married on July 5, 1952. Other survivors include, two daughters, Pattijean Stull of Sharon, Pennsylvania, and Pamela Jane Hugo of Lafayette, Louisiana, a son Todd Alan Shaffer of Kinsman, a brother, Jerry Todd of Omaha, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren, Megan, Carrie, Tyler, Brian, Allison, Carly, Abby, Amanda, Kyle, Scotlund, and Suzanne; four great grandchildren, Aidan, Emma, Eva, Sophie. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Larry A. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
