Patricia Ann Tharp

Johnston, Ohio - Patricia Ann Tharp, age 73, died at her home on Monday, September 28, 2015. She was born on September 26, 1942 in New Lyme, Ohio a daughter of Beulah Mae (McLaughlin) and Raymond Wolfe. A longtime Johnston resident, Mrs. Tharp was a 1960 graduate of Deming -New Lyme High School. On October 9, 1965 she married Arthur "Skip" L. Tharp. Mrs. Tharp was a receptionist for the Hearing Aide Center of Howland, Ohio for many years, retiring this past December. She was a member of the Johnston Federated United Methodist Church, where she was the church organist, choir director and active in the Suzanne Circle. Mrs. Tharp was very active in the churches Relay for Life campaign. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Mrs. Tharp is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of twenty-eight years, Skip Tharp and a sister, Linda Hines. Survivors include her two children, Michele L. “Shelley” (Rob) Alexander of Johnston, Ohio and Randall K. (Rochelle) Tharp of Austintown, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha and Miranda “Roo” Wood, Wendy, Victoria and Wesley Alexander, Brandon and Emily Tharp, Adam Johns, Kaitlyn and Austin Ladd; nine great grandchildren; Brother-in-law, James Hines of Farmdale, Ohio and her best friend since childhood, Janice Smith of Colebrook, Ohio A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Pastor Ron J. McIlvaine officiating. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 5th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of services.
