Patsy Louise Lautanen

New Lyme, Ohio - Patsy L. Lautanen, age 75, passed away to join the Love of her Life Donald G. Lautanen, on Friday, March 8, 2013 in Jefferson, Ohio. She was born on August 29, 1937, in Grantsville, West Virginia, a daughter of Birta (Nitz) and Enos Offutt. A longtime area resident, Mrs. Lautanen went to Deming Schools. On January 18, 1955 she married Donald G. Lautanen. Taking care of her family was her priority and it was later in life that she began working at the former Andover Industries for many years. She loved to cook for her family and was known for her big Sunday dinners. Mrs. Lautanen supported her children by becoming a 4-H leader for many years. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and their many activities. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-three years, Donald G. Lautanen; an infant sister, Marie; infant brothers, Eugene and Enos; three sisters, Luella Cobb, Berneal Cottrell, and Barbara Offutt and a brother, Duane Offutt. Survivors include four daughters, Vicki L. (Randy) Holmes of Tucson, Arizona, Cheryl A. (Bill) Lucik of Andover, Ohio, Tammy J. Switzer of New Lyme, Ohio and Becky J. (Dan) Hazen of Jefferson, Ohio; six sons, Donald L. Lautanen of Andover, Ohio, J.R. Lautanen of Jefferson, Ohio, Richard A. (Cris) Lautanen of Williamsfield, Ohio, Jeffrey L. (Dianna) Lautanen, Steven L. (Brenda) Lautanen and Russell P. Lautanen all of Jefferson, Ohio; a sister, Betty Hedrick of Portland, Tennessee; a brother, Donny Offutt of New Lyme, Ohio; twenty grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Brownville Cemetery, New Lyme township, OH. Calling hours will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
